Yes, it is absolutely true you won't see Vehicles on Delhi roads, it's a big move taken by MCD Delhi.

It Seems Smart City plan is now gonna implement in Delhi soon, As like Paris, Madrid and numerous other created urban communities now the focal market of Delhi — Connaught Place (CP) — will go Vehicle-free ( Sans Vehicle ) soon. 

At a meeting headed by Venkaiah Naidu, Serve for Urban Improvement, on Thursday, it was chosen that Connaught Place would be "pedestrianized" on a pilot reason for three months, beginning this February 2017. 

The pilot would permit "Ground level testing of issues identified with changes in movement dissemination, the experience of people on foot and shop proprietors, administration of recovered parking areas, activity stack on the external circle and so forth," an announcement from the Service said. The meeting was held to take a further step in implementation Smart-City plan of New Delhi Municipal Council.

The center and internal circles of Connaught Place (CP) would get to be vehicle-free in the beginning February. Delhiites going to the shopping center would have choices to park in one of three Parking slots given by the Govt. — at Shivaji Stadium, Baba Kharak Singh Marg and Palika Parking. 

As per the announcement, the three spots have parking capacity of 3,172 cars, while just 1,088 vehicles are parked on a normal basis.

“Cycle hiring, battery-operated vehicles etc, would be deployed effectively for the benefit of those parking vehicles at specified slots to reach the business district and also for the benefit of those using public transport, besides senior citizens, women, children etc to move in the business district,” the announcement said. 

The space that gets to be distinctly accessible accordingly of this move would be utilized for advancement of water bodies, walkway bistros, sound and light shows and so on. 

The announcement likewise said that four offers got for keen stopping administrations are under examination. 

Sounds like achhe din are finally here 😃😃😃, this step will surely reduce:

• Air-pollution, 
• Noise-pollution, and 
• Accidents rate.

But along with some positive points we have some negative points too, it will cause many problems like traveling near CP would be much difficult than normal days because of fewer transport facilities and transport revenue will also be affected by this new test. 😖
